King Diamond - Discografia

Halloween! Pra comemorar este dia, trago um dos maiores mestres do Horror! King Diamond!!! Fã incondicional de Heavy Metal e de Alice Cooper, King Diamond fundou a sua primeira banda denominada Black Rose no fim dos anos 70, e no início dos 80, entrou para o Mercyful Fate. Fosse só pelo excelente trabalho vocal e pelas guitarras, a banda já teria sido um sucesso, porém King Diamond chamava atenção, não só pela qualidade vocal, mas também por sua maquiagem pesada e suas performances ao vivo. Com certeza, tanto o estilo do som, quanto o visual de Diamond, foram inspirados em Alice Cooper, o grande mestre da mistura entre Metal e Horror. Após uma carreira consagrada com o Mercyful Fate, Diamond deixa a banda para trabalhar em sua carreira solo. Auxiliado pelo guitarrista Andy La Rocque e pelos ex-integrantes do Mercyful Fate Michael Denner e Timi Hansen, somados ao baterista Mikkey Dee, King Diamond grava um dos melhores álbuns de todos os tempos Abigail em 1987 (segundo a própria Roadie Crew). A versatilidade e o diversos timbres em que consegue cantar, tornam-o uma peça rara e única no gênero do Metal. Entre idas e vindas, King Diamond alterna lançamentos com o Mercyful Fate e em sua carreira solo, até os dias atuais. Apesar do enfoque ser bem maior com a sua própria banda, o Mercyful teve excelentes álbuns após o seu retorno, principalmente no fim dos anos 90, mantendo sempre o estilo que o consagrou! Diamond está a alguns meses parado, devido a um hérnia de disco que o impede de viajar, fato este que o obrigou a cancelar uma turnê pelos E.U.A ao lado do Kreator. Temos que entender, afinal ele não é mais nenhum garotão! Rs! É difícil falar de King Diamond, sem falar no Mercyful Fate, mas no momento posto apenas a discografia do mestre, deixando a do Mercyful para uma outra oportunidade.
